Fuel Consumption Guide
Measure real driving use and cost from fuel, distance and price with multi-tank averages.
Litres per 100 kilometres
Divide litres used by kilometres travelled and multiply by 100. Forty litres over 500 km equals 8 L/100 km. Keep one unit when comparing cars or seasons.
Full-tank measurement
Fill to a consistent level, reset the trip meter and record litres at the next fill. Averaging several tanks reduces pump and route noise. Store date, litres, unit price and odometer notes.
Conditions that change use
