What EYT is (and is not)
EYT helps people whose first insurance start was before 8 September 1999 and who meet premium-day and insurance-year rules avoid the age barrier that previously blocked retirement. It is not “everyone retires immediately.” Status (4/a, 4/b, 4/c) matters. Hesapla tools are rough checks only.
The cutoff date
First insurance before 8 Sep 1999 opens the EYT door. Internship insurance and optional entries often confuse people — trust the service statement’s first employment line.
Buybacks do not always move the first-start date backward; effects depend on buyback type.
Days, years and buybacks
Required premium days and insurance years vary by branch and start date. Birth, military, abroad and other buybacks can fill gaps at a cost. Filling days does not automatically mean a pension filing will succeed without other conditions.

FAQ
Is pre-1999 entry enough?
No. The cutoff opens the path; premium days, insurance years and status rules must also be met. Gaps may be filled by work or buybacks.
Does internship count as first start?

Are Hesapla EYT results final?
